Detailed program
In the evening, we transfer to the station for the night train to Sapa. Overnight in the night train, 4 berths/cabin.

The train arrives in the station in the early morning. Pick up with a local guide then have breakfast.
We will commence your short journey by driving south toward Muong Hoa Valley. We will then start your walk by descending into the valley, which is the largest rice paddy terraced in Sapa area. The guide can provide you with interesting information about rice. If you visit the valley sometime between May and October, you will be able to observe and experience how the locals do planting and harvesting, one of the most important activities in daily life. The walk takes you from Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of Giay minority.
Then we walk to visit Y Linh Ho village. Not only terraced fields but also Hoang Lien Son mountain range and Muong Hoa Village bring Y Linh Ho village an extreme beauty. Muong Hoa stream flowing through the beautiful Y Linh Ho village is the highlight of the more vivid natural scenery.
After that, we come back to the Sapa. Overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, we drive a short way north of Sapa town to the quiet valleys and gorges surrounding the village of O Quy Ho. The shallow winding valley sits in the shadow of Indochina’s highest peak, Fansipan Mountain, and on clear days you can enjoy superb range views. Away from the major tourist routes, this trek is the perfect escape. Pass by O Long tea farms before joining a local footpath that clings to the contours of the rice terraces and takes you gently down the valley past grazing buffalo and working farmers. Walk along ancient stone paths and hear the story of the Black H’Mong migration to these mountains centuries before. Learn about the distinct cultures, languages and lifestyles that make northwestern Vietnam so fascinating, and visit an authentic Black H’Mong house, home to a local family. Transferring back to Sapa town in the early afternoon, then at 15:00, you are transferred by sharing a luxury transfer back to Hanoi (5 hour drive).
