From Saigon to Hanoi

Arrival in the airport of Tan Son Nhat with the flight. Then pick up and transfert to hotel in the centre. Overnight at hotel.

A trip to escape from bustling Saigon to unwind at Can Gio Biosphere Reserve. Upon arrival, take a visit to Can Gio Museum and observe the wildlife. After spending time getting more knowledge about the history and nature of the region, you will move on to Rung Sac Guerilla Base in the mangrove forest, this is the major part of the day.

After the lunch on Can Gio Beach, on the way back city, you will visit a local temple, which is dedicated to the Whale (considered as the Sea Protector of the local fishermen) and learn about the local belief before heading back to the hotel.

We first ride to district 5, passing streets that provide wedding services, a colorful flower market and a local wet market. We head towards the China Town to explore the roads that is famous for selling bike parts, textile materials or medicine, Quan Am Pagoda and the “Cho Lon” market. Stop at a local coffee shop then back to District 1 to visit the beautiful landmarks of Saigon such as the Reunification Palace, War Remnant Museum, etc.

At night, drive to a local seafood store in district 4 that is well-known by locals. Then ride to a riverside park in district 2 for a short walk with local beer and snack. Finally, we roll onto a hidden coffee shop for Live Music.

Morning free. After check in hotel, we transfert to the airport for the flight to Hanoi. Pick up to hotel. Overnite in hotel.

Our guide will greet you and provide a brief tour introduction. By antique Minsk motorcycle, we ride to see the lively vibrates of Hanoi in the morning with the fresh market, local life, and the train station… Then, we visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Lunch at an authentic Hanoian restaurant.

Switched to a Jeep vehicle, we’ll spend some time appreciating the natural beauty before arriving at Bat Trang, a 1000-year-old ceramic hamlet. Our guide will lead you through the zigzagging maze of alleyways to learn about the locals’ daily lives. Stop at a pottery workshop to learn about the process of manufacturing ceramics and create your own ceramic bowl or Teacup.

Guide and driver will meet you at hotel and the tour will start at 8.30am. The first market to visit is Long Bien. Situated under the famous, symbolic Long Bien Bridge, Long Bien Market is the biggest whole sale market of spices, fruits and vegetables. The next visit is Dong Xuan Market. Return to your car for the drive to Chau Long Market. This market will remind you a market in the rural area with all daily commodities and foods. Have a cup of coffee at home of an antique collector before getting back to your place, tour ends, back to hotel. At 17h00, the guide and driver will pick you up to the show Quintessence of Tonkin. Overnite in hotel.

Pick you up from your hotel at 08.00am; the driver will drive you to the rural areas of Hanoi. After 1.5 hours, you will arrive to Duong Lam. This is an ancient village with houses built of unprocessed laterite blocks. Leaving the village, you will drive for 5 more kms on the village road to Moon Garden Homestay where you will have lunch at a special restaurant. Tour ends at your hotel in Hanoi.
