The train from Ninh Binh to Quang Binh is the best transport option on this route. Note before booking train tickets
- Trains will arrival Dong Hoi train station location in Dong Hoi city (Quang Binh province) which about 40km far from Phong Nha.
- Although the train routes are exciting, if you are looking for a luxury/European-standard quality train then should lower your expectations before considering the train operated by Vietnam Railways. The system & facility – somewhat – are old with the almost hundred-years-old train tracks and some parts are not well maintained.
- Passengers should book train ticket from Ninh Binh to Quang Binh at least 2 days before the departure date to ensure ticket are available and should not try to book a ticket within 5 hours of the departure time as the system stops selling tickets around that time.
