Detailed program

Day 01: Hanoi arrival (-)

Arrival in Noi Bai airport, you will be picked up then transferred to the hotel in city center. The check-in is available at 2 pm. The day is free for your own exploration and shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Hanoi - Ha Giang
Day 02: Hanoi – Ha Giang (B, L, D)

At 8am, pick up at the hotel by your guide and your driver. Transfer to Ha Giang through the Ham Yen district which belongs to the province of Tuyen Quang. You will admire the natural landscapes, the green rice fields, the palm hills and the villages. Crossing the city of Tuyen Quang, visit a village of Tay Blacks at the edge of the road.

Around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, you will arrive at the village of Ha Thanh, nestled by the Tay. A short hike will allow you to discover the daily life of the farmers. Overngiht at hotel

Day 03: Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Dong Van

En route to the Dong Van plateau located at 1025 m altitude and inhabited by several ethnic groups such as Tay, LoLo, Nung, Dzao and especially the H’mong… After a stop at the Heavenly Gate of Quan Ba, you will arrive at Yen Minh, a beautiful valley nestled in the mountains.

Walk in the village of Pho Bang, with old earthen houses, some built in a colonial style. Twice a month after dark, all the houses around the market light lanterns. At the entrance to Dong Van, you will visit the King Hmong Palace, which is a sumptuous palace reproducing the Chinese architecture of the Qing Dynasty. After dinner, you can go to Dong Van Old Street for a cup of coffee and traditional music performance.

 

Day 04: Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac - Ba Be

After breakfast, climb up above the town to Pu Lo, a French fortress built in 1890 and kept in great condition. At an elevation of 2000 meters, the Ma Pi Leng Pass clings to the side of the undulating mountains, giving unrivalled views of the valleys and terraced hemp fields, which decorate the mountainsides. You will zigzag down into Meo Vac Valley before driving to Ba Be for overnight.

Day 05: Ba Be free

Day 06: Ba Be - Cao Bang

After breakfast, embark a little boat to cruise the emerald Ba Be Lake and soak in its sublime serenity and beauty. Continue your cruise towards the scenic Dau Dang Waterfall and then visit the villages of Tay ethnic minority people and discover their lifestyle. Transfer to Cao Bang on road. Overnight in hotel Cao Bang.

 

Day 07: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc waterfall - Nguom Ngao Cave - Cao Bang

You will head to the Chinese border to see the Ban Gioc Waterfall, considered the most beautiful in Vietnam. Picturesque landscape with limestone peaks, villages at the foot of mountains, rainforest are the highlight of this area. Stop at the Phuc Sen villages at the edge of the road to discover the traditional technique of Nung ethnics. China is right on the other side of the waterfall. After visiting Nguom Ngao cave, return to Cao Bang. Night at the hotel.

 

Day 08: Cao Bang – Hanoi (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel then drive to Hanoi. Several stops to visit the villages of the ethnic groups and to take beautiful pictures. Arrival at the capital in the late afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

You will be picked up at the hotel at 8:00am. Starting the day trip will be a visit of the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which compromises Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum (closed on Mondays & Fridays), his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh Museum. We will then visit the Temple of Literature constructed in 1070 to worship Confucius, which served as the first Royal National University in Vietnam. At 12h30, let’s start with Hanoi Backstreest tour. Our professional guides will provide you with a WOW experience in just a few hours on our customized USSR VINTAGE JEEP car.

 

Day 10: Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay - Lan Ha Bay

Depart to Halong Bay and embark Lacasta Cruise. Enjoy Vietnamese seafood and vegetarian lunch, while cruising in the magnificent Halong – Lan Ha Bay, admiring the fascinating rock formations in the bay. Continue cruising through Duck islet, Thumb islet and Gia Luan Harbor. Discover lagoon natural area and drop anchor for kayaking, swimming or sunbathe on our cruise (private, wild and fresh air).

Come back and participate in our Sunset party. Take photos and relax. Dinner with special seafood and Vietnamese typical food on the cruise. Evening entertainments: play game on the cruise: cards game, chess, squid fishing, relaxing with massage service.

Day 11: Halong – Ninh Binh

Morning view of bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Mingling yourself in the stunning views of the Bay and it’s dramatic limestone islets. Tourists visit the famous Frog Pond. Here you can freely kayak and explore the landscape, or swim…

Back to your cabin, take relax and check carefully all the luggage before leaving your cabin. Check-out from the private cabin and enjoy a fantastic cruise on the bay for room service. Complete checkout procedure and enjoy your last lunch at La Casta cruise.

Landing Tuan Chau Harbor, tourist say goodbye to sailors and finish the cruise. Transfer to Ninh Binh. Check-in at hotel. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 12: Ninh Binh free (B, L, D)

Short walking tour in the vicinity of the hotel with guide. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 13: Ninh Binh - Tam Coc - Cycling - Mua caves - Hanoi - fly to Luang Prabang

After breakfast, we will embark a small rowing boat to discover the outstanding karst waterscape on Ngo Dong River. Afternoon, you transfer to visit Mua Caves. From the top of the cave, you can see majestic landscape of Tam Coc, the countryside and wonderful Ngo Dong River.

The rest of day we will ride the bicycle along winding roads passing lotus ponds, temples and cottages, typical of Vietnamese countryside to visit Bich Dong Pagoda situated on a hillside.

Then we drive back to Hanoi for a flight to Luang Prabang.

 

 

Day 14: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou

Wake up early and prepare to join the most sacred tradition of Laos, the daily morning alms giving. Then we will visit the temporary morning market near the former Royal Palace where local people barter their day’s catch from rice, to vegetable, to fish, or chicken. After breakfast at hotel, we visit the magnificent Wat Xiengthong a superb piece of Lao temple architecture.

After that, we embark on the leisurely cruise upstream on the Mekong River with breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves filled with thousands of Buddha images. En route, you will stop at Ban Muang Keo, a well-known village for its traditional Lao rice whisky distilling. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the hilltribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Day 15: Luang Prabang - city tour - Tad Sae waterfall - Kuangsi Waterfall

After breakfast, we will visit to the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene then the Tad Sae Waterfall, a spectacular natural wonder with many streams of water pouring over unique limestone formations. You can also go for a swim in large pools below the falls. Then transfer to the beautiful Kuang Si waterfalls, the biggest in the Luang Prabang area with three tiers leading to a 50-metre drop into spectacular azure pools. We will also take a short visit to the Bear Rescue Center, which houses a couple of dozen animals rescued from poachers and traffickers. Drive back to the town, we then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful view of the city and the Mekong River.

Day 16: Luang Prabang - fly to Bangkok - Departure

After breakfast at hotel, free time for your own activities. At appointed time, transfer to Luang Prabang airport for a flight to Bangkok. Arrival at the airport in Bangkok. After collecting your luggage, go to GATE 3 where you will be met by our English airport assistant. Transfer to hotel with driver only. Attention the rooms are guaranteed starting from 14:00. Our Customer Care awaits you in the Lobby or calls you for an appointment. Take a short rest at a hotel near the airport. At 21:00, transfer to the airport for your home flight
